1. What makes Gus Freeman different from other baseball instructors?
Gus has real, high-level playing experience—from All-Conference honors in both junior college and Division I baseball, to leading teams on and off the field. He doesn’t just teach skills—he mentors athletes in mindset, confidence, and leadership. Parents love that Gus creates a positive, fun, and competitive learning environment while pushing kids to reach their potential.
2. What age range does Gus work with?
Gus works with motivated players typically between ages 10 and 18, including competitive youth players, middle school athletes, and high school students preparing for varsity or college-level baseball. Each lesson is tailored to the player's age, experience, and personal goals.
3. What skills or areas does Gus focus on during lessons?
Gus offers instruction in hitting, catching, infield defense, and the mental side of the game. Whether your child is looking to fine-tune their swing, improve behind the plate, or build game-day confidence, Gus focuses on technical precision and teaching players how to think through situations like an advanced athlete.
4. Will my child be overwhelmed by a D1-level coach?
Not at all. One of Gus’s strengths is his ability to relate to young athletes. He breaks down complex concepts in ways kids can understand, and he knows how to keep sessions fun, structured, and confidence-building. Players leave each session feeling more prepared and more excited to play.
5. Does Gus help with preparation for high school or college baseball?
Yes! Gus has been through the recruiting process, competed at the junior college and Division I levels, and understands what it takes to succeed. He helps players develop not just physically but strategically—giving them a roadmap to grow, be noticed, and stand out as leaders on their teams.
6. What’s Gus like as a coach and role model?
Gus is known for his leadership, empathy, and enthusiasm. He connects with kids, encourages them to be coachable and hardworking, and celebrates their progress. Parents often describe Gus as the type of role model they want their kids around—humble, focused, and inspiring.
7. How do I book a session, and what do we need to bring?
Booking is easy—just use the contact form or reach out directly to Gus to schedule a session. Players should bring their glove, bat, helmet, water, and any position-specific gear (like catching equipment). If you're unsure what’s needed, Gus is happy to guide you.
